Who we are
Collective Satu is an online platform for creatives and entrepreneurs with Indonesian, Moluccan or Indo-Dutch roots, and everyone connected to these cultures. Collective Satu is a sole proprietorship in The Hague and decides how and why your personal data is used.
Collective Satu (handelsnaam collective-satu), Fijnjekade 19, 2521 CP Den Haag, Chamber of Commerce (KvK) 76692841
Questions or requests about your data: info@collective-satu.com.
Signing up for Collective Satu 2.0
If you fill in the sign-up form, we store:
- your name and email address;
- if you sign up as a member: your business or stage name and, if you enter them, your category, city and Instagram name;
- the language of the page and, if the link contained one, a source label such as “bio” or “story”;
- the moment you signed up, your choice about the newsletter and which version of the consent text you agreed to.
We use this to be able to contact you about Collective Satu 2.0 and, if you sign up as a member, to prepare your profile. Signing up does not mean you will receive emails from us. We do this on the basis of your consent. Signing up is voluntary and you can withdraw your consent at any time.
The newsletter option is a separate choice and is off unless you tick it. If you tick it, we may send you a newsletter; we store that choice with the date. There is no newsletter yet and we do not promise one. You can withdraw this at any time by emailing us. We share updates on Instagram.
Existing members: upgrade requests
If you ask to take your existing profile into 2.0, we store your name, email address, current profile name or page link, any changes you enter, the page language, source label and the time and version of your consent. We use these details only to review and prepare your upgrade request. Your request does not change your profile or give anyone access to it.
These requests are stored separately in Supabase, do not count towards the 50 places for new members and do not subscribe you to a newsletter. We remove them after 12 months at the latest, or earlier if you ask us to. You can withdraw your consent by contacting us. Updates are shared on Instagram.
Member pages
A member page shows a name, photos, a description and links of an entrepreneur. The profiles on this version were moved from the previous Collective Satu website, where they were already public. Contact details are only shown on a page when the member manages the page and has chosen to show them.
We also keep the email address that a member gave to the previous website. It is not public. We only use it to contact the member about their own page.
We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest: keeping the existing collective findable while we build the new version. You can object to this at any time.
Is this your page and do you want something changed or removed? Email us and we will take care of it.
Accounts and reviews
If you create an account, we process your email address and an encrypted password. For your page we store what you enter: name, category, city, texts, photos, links and the contact details you choose to show. We also store the proof of registration you give us (such as a Chamber of Commerce number); only the administrator sees that. A new page is checked by the administrator before it goes online.
If you write a review, we store the first name, city, score and text you enter. A review is checked before it is published.
If you delete your account or ask us to, we remove your page, its photos and your account. We do this on the basis of the agreement you enter into by creating an account.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data and we show no advertisements. We use these service providers, which only process data on our instructions:
- Supabase: database and file storage. The data is stored in London (United Kingdom). The European Commission has decided that the United Kingdom offers an adequate level of protection.
- Vercel: hosting of the website. Vercel is a company from the United States and processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver and secure the site.
- Brevo: we keep a copy of your name and email address in this contact tool, so that we can reach you if that is needed. Brevo is a company from France.
How we protect it
The site only works over an encrypted connection. Sign-up details and email addresses of members cannot be read through the public website; only the administrator of Collective Satu has access to them.
How long we keep it
- Sign-up details: until you ask us to remove them, and no longer than 12 months after you signed up, unless you have become a member by then. After 12 months we remove them from our database, including the safety copy, and from our contact tool.
- Member pages: as long as the page exists. If you ask us to remove your page, we remove the page, its photos and your email address.
Video and music on member pages
A member page can show a YouTube video or a Spotify or SoundCloud player. Nothing is loaded from those services until you tap play. When you do, that service receives technical data such as your IP address and may place its own cookies; their privacy rules then apply.
Cookies
If you choose a language, we place one functional cookie that remembers that choice. If you log in, functional cookies keep you logged in. If you open the demo, one functional cookie remembers that you are viewing the demo. We use no tracking or advertising cookies. We do count how often a member page is opened and how often a link on it is clicked. These are daily totals only; we store no IP address, no cookie and nothing that can be traced back to you.
Your rights
You can ask us to show, correct or delete your data, to limit its use, or to send it to you in a common format. You can also object to its use and withdraw a consent you gave. Email us at the address above; we respond within one month.
Not satisfied with how we handle your data? You can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Age
The sign-up form is meant for people aged 16 and over.
Changes
If we change this statement, the new version appears on this page with a new date.
